This is a poem I wrote a long time ago, but its meaning remains relevant today. May the victims of 9/11 rest in peace; they will never be forgotten.

10 years Have Passed

10 years have passed, since 9/11,

10 years they've rested, up in heaven,

10 years of pain, with sorrow we've cried,

10 years ago, countless loved ones have died.

10 years we've felt, an empty void,

10 years of memories, terrorists destroyed,

10 years ago, we saw them last,

10 years of thinking about the past.

10 years without their kiss or touch,

10 years we've missed them, so, so much.

10 years later we're still asking why?

10 years have passed, but we can't say goodbye!

My heart goes out to all the families and friends of the 2977 victims of September 11, 2001.

I enjoy writing simple rhyming poetry that people can easily share with their loved ones. I live in Toronto with my loving wife and two curious, adventure-seeking daughters.
