The Power of Grit

When the road gets rough, and skies turn gray,
And you’re not sure you’ll find your way,
Dig deep within, don’t quit just yet,
For nothing’s stronger than pure grit.

Through every stumble, rise once more,
Each fall is a lesson, you can't ignore,
With every challenge, you stand and fight,
The darkest moments, bring forth light.

Grit is the fire, that never goes out,
A whisper of hope, in a world full of doubt,
It’s courage that pushes, when strength’s running thin,
The will to keep going, the drive from within.

So hold on tight, when the going gets tough,
Grit makes the journey, more than enough,
For those who endure, will reach their goal,
With grit in their heart, and fire in their soul.

I enjoy writing simple rhyming poetry that people can easily share with their loved ones. I live in Toronto with my loving wife and two curious, adventure-seeking daughters.
