These poems about life include many views and values that we share in life. Personally, I think it's important for each person to love life and also be grateful at the same time.

Teenage Poem About Life

This type of attitude will allow us to live full and meaningful lives, that are filled with joy and happiness. That first verse has a lot of meaning to me personally.

I strongly believe that our individual lives are the result of our attitudes and our thoughts. In order for us to lead fulfilled and happy lives, we all need to remain positive (even during the tough times).

It's also nice if we are fortunate enough to spend and celebrate life with supportive and loving family and friends.

Shine

Life is something we all share,

Just like oxygen, in the air.

The way we live it, is up to us,

With a negative or with a plus.

Life is something, we should cherish,

We never know, when we'll perish.

Live each and every single day,

Smell the flowers, stop and play.

Life is something, we've been blessed,

Choice is yours, choose your quest.

Follow your passions, and you'll be fine,

With the right attitude, you will shine.

By Martin Dejnicki

I really enjoyed writing the next rhyming poem about life. The trick was to compare life with a piece of art. I hope I was successful. You be the judge of that.

Paint Your Life

Life is like a piece of art,

It requires lots of heart.

Choose your paint and your brush,

Take your time, avoid the rush.

Before you paint, choose your theme,

Don't be afraid, to follow your dream.

It's alright, to make a mistake.

Your painting is real, it's not fake.

Look at your painting, don't be crying,

Begin again, keep on trying.

Your painting is never fully complete,

Enjoy the process, make sure it's sweet.

By Martin Dejnicki

Sometimes in life we make good choices, and sometimes not as good.

I think that it's ok to make mistakes. We learn from them. But also, mistakes are a part of life that makes us real genuine human beings.

The last two lines of the previous poem are meant to remind us that we never stop learning in life. No matter how old we get, there is no such thing as infinite wisdom.

There are always new things we could learn about ourselves, the world, and about how we interact with others. Personally, I'm constantly working on improving my social or people skills.

The line that really stands out for me in the following poem is the last one in the 2nd stanza. It mentions being delighted or happy each morning. I believe our attitudes in the morning could affect the rest of our day. So if you wake up cheerful and excited about whatever you have to do that day, you will attract positive energy from others.

Live Life To The Fullest

To Follow your heart, and intuition,

That should be, your number one mission.

Listen to your inner voice,

Live your life, through your choice.

The point is to love, what you are doing,

Your deepest passions; should be pursuing.

Every moment, live excited,

Every morning, be delighted.

Always look forward, to what is ahead,

Your thoughts and wisdom, gracefully spread.

Living life to the fullest, is up to you,

Look in the mirror, always be true.

By Martin Dejnicki

The last two lines are pretty much about individual values. If we live by our values, it won't be difficult for us to look in the mirror each morning, and be proud of who we are and what we do. However, if our actions are not aligned with our values, we will create inner conflicts for ourselves. That's why I made a list of my personal values and read them out loud each day.

Sometimes in life, we need to make a decision to seek a different path or move on. This is definitely easier said than done. However, if you're at crossroads in your life, maybe these quotes about moving on will help, which are featured on my good friend Jonathan's site.

Bumpy Ride

Life has many ups and downs,

Loving smiles and also frowns.

Good events and some are bad,

Happy emotions, others mad.

It can be a bumpy ride,

How you handle it, you decide!

Life is Short Poem

The following verse looks at a very common saying in modern society. We all say it, all the time.

Life's Too Short

Life's too short, to simply waste,

Slow it down, don't move with haste.

Time is once, you get to spend,

Carefully choose, every friend.

Life's too short, to change careers,

Choice is yours, they're your years.

Maybe once, or maybe twice,

Look inside, to find advice.

Life's too short, to just complain,

Rid negativity from your brain.

Life's too short, time won't freeze,

Enjoy it all, won't you please.

By Martin Dejnicki

I actually disagree with myself regarding the first line of the 2nd verse. I actually don't think that life is too short to change careers, because I've done it myself. Some people questioned my decision, and some still do, but I block all that criticism, and just followed my heart and passions. Before I'm done, I'll probably switch careers a few more times. But that's just that way I am, always curious, and always looking forward to trying new things.

A Poem About Life and Love

When I was writing this next poem about life and love, I tried to picture how one could exist without the other. Life without love would certainly be very plain and mundane. While love without life, is just as hard.

Life and Love

Life and love share a bond,

Not through magic, nor a wand.

Each of us, both we need,

Nurture them, like a garden seed.

Life with no love, substance lacks,

To each soul, a heavy tax.

Love with no life, slowly fades,

It may take a few decades.

Life and love, has so much beauty,

We must enjoy them, that's our duty.

Open our hearts, and freely share,

Life and love, will be very fair.

By Martin Dejnicki

Every time we wake each morning, we should be grateful for being blessed with life on this beautiful earth. If we are fortunate to have people that love us, that's another blessing. When we have both of these - we are happy.

I Love Life Poem

The following poem mentions a few reasons why we love life. One obvious reason, that's not included in the poem is the fact that this is the only life that we have. So we might as well make the very of it.

I Love Life

Our life, we may shape and mould,

It's more precious, than all the gold.

As we wake, there's a shine,

From our sun, the day is fine.

With our family, life we share,

They love us back, they truly care.

We are never, ever alone,

We are people, we're not stone.

I love life, for the little things,

When a little child sings.

Abundant joy, we may create,

I love life, it's truly great!

By Martin Dejnicki

Loving life may be very easy when everything is going well. When our families are happy and healthy, and our problems are minimal. It's much more difficult to love life when one faces a tragedy or is going through a really tough time in life.

However, no matter how bad life may get at times, there's always home. We always have the opportunity to create or change our situation for the better. All we have to do is be motivated and inspired to do it.

Personally, I receive much of my inspiration from famous quotes and while reading non-fiction literature that interests me.

My Life Poem

When writing the next poem, I tried to write it in a way so that others would be able to relate to it. Everyone's story is unique, and therefore, each individual will have a different "My Life Poem".

I just hope, this poem inspires you to write your personal "My Life Poem", that will represent that person that you are, and some of your characteristics.

My Life

My precious life, I live each day,

I work so hard, and try to play.

A simple, meaningful, conversation,

Leads to joy, and true sensation.

Occasionally confronted, with a struggle,

Countless emotions, simultaneously juggle.

Sometimes I win, sometimes I fail,

No matter what, there's always a tale.

From my life, I'll never hide,

Loving the journey, with every stride.

Wherever I go, one thing I'll take,

Smile of joy, each day that I wake.

Inspirational Poem About Life

This next one is meant to inspire. What I'm trying to say through this poem is that we don't need to consume excessively to be happy. We just need to open up our eyes and realize that the "real" things in life that will make us happy are right in front of us.

Feed Life

Family, friends, food, and health,

Greatest treasures, truest wealth.

We all enjoy being happy and free,

Living life our way, is the key.

Incredible beauty, nature surrounds,

Things to see, and wonderful sounds.

Every life, has so much potential,

Feed it with love, that is essential.

Sometimes there are things, we don't approve,

We're in control, we may change and improve.

Life is here, for us to explore,

Feed it with energy, and you shall get more.

By Martin Dejnicki

What makes you happy?

For me it includes: spending time with family and friends, reading interesting books, being active and playing basketball and soccer in my neighbourhood, going to the park with my wife and spending some quality time.

Have you noticed that none of the listed activities above require buckets full of money. This proves that we don't need to work 80 hours each week, to have enough money to be happy. I find that keeping up with the Joneses is completely ridiculous. It's a race that only makes people unhappy.

Our leaders, want us to work more, so that we make more money, and grow the economy. Why don't they talk about growing as individuals and as communities? What kind of life are we living if we are overworked and overstressed?

Here's a few verses that talk about happiness. They are meant to help put things into perspective, and make us realize that attaining happiness in life is often quite simple.

Poem About Life and Death

Here's a poem that talks about life and death. More specifically, it looks at the time from when we are born and ends by looking at death. So you could say it's like a timeline of life.

Life and Death

Life begins with something so small,

Innocent baby, could barely crawl.

Beautiful toddler, grows into a child,

Those teenage years, are often quite wild.

During adulthood, we all try to find,

Unique experiences, rewire each mind.

For several decades, we become so busy,

This is life, sometimes it's dizzy.

Years go by, we continue to age,

We approach, our final page.

The meaning of life we understand.

Death converts, our body to sand.

By Martin Dejnicki

Sad Poem About Life

I wasn't overly excited about writing the following sad poem. However, I knew I had to do it because life is sometimes sad, and this poem is meant to remind us of these times, so that we will appreciate the good times even more.

Sadness

Life may bring sorrow and grief,

Sometimes it's just unfairly brief.

Daily struggles, and even pain,

Body, mind, constant drain.

Dealing with an angry boss,

What about untimely loss.

Nobody deserves, to live in fear,

It has been a sad filled year!

Simple words, often hurt,

All this sadness, could we invert?

This has been the steepest slope,

Nothing left, only hope.

By Martin Dejnicki

Just like the last line states, I truly believe that maintaining hope during times of hardship is absolutely critical. It is the one thing that will always help us conquer and defeat our sorrows and hardships.

Poem About Struggles in Life

Are you thinking, why did I write a poem about struggles in life? Aren't there enough already, that we don't need to be reminded?

Well, this poem looks at not just the struggles themselves, but how these obstacles could help us as human beings.

Struggles in Life

Struggles in life may include many,

Losing everything, not having a penny.

Sometimes our hearts, feel empty and alone,

Anxiety takes over, depression prone.

We learn to deal with our emotional scars,

Forgive others, and reach for the stars.

What about anger and frustration?

Adversity helps us, deal with temptation.

Sometimes in life, we struggle and suffer,

Those experiences, make us much tougher.

Struggles teach us, more than words could say,

They help make us, the individuals, we are today.

Funny Poem About Life

In the following poem, you will clearly notice my edgy/sarcastic sense of humor. I've noticed, it's pretty much a hit or miss. Hope you like it:)

Life's A Joke

Life should never be to serious,

Choose exciting and mysterious.

We don't choose how we look,

From our parents, those genes we took.

Life is one hilarious joke,

When you're eating, try not to choke.

But if you do, you'll make a mess,

Try to smile for the press.

We're not making fun of death,

Brush your teeth, you have bad breath.

Just remember, life is short,

Might as well, play a sport.

By Martin Dejnicki

Journey of Life Poem

This next poem is meant to remind us about the importance of listening to other people's stories. That's because we all want to be heard and listened to. Personally, I really enjoy listening to others speak about their lives and the history behind it. Maybe that's the reason I connect so well with elderly people (and listen to their music - "oldies").

Journey of Life

Journey of life, an interesting book,

Don't be shy, go take a look.

Each book contains, stories unique,

Listen to others, they'll reveal as they speak.

Some books are short, others are long,

Each to his own; book does belong.

Listen more carefully, and you will learn,

The respect of storytellers, definitely earn.

Only book to critique, is solely your own,

But instead, be proud how it grown.

Journey of life, and interesting book,

Allow others, to take a good look.

By Martin Dejnicki

Life is Beautiful Poem

Life is surely beautiful, you don't need a poem to tell you that. But here's one anyways.

Life is Beautiful

Life is beautiful, we all know,

In the summer and in the snow.

So many things to learn and see,

We are equals, we are free.

Life is beautiful, we all know,

Younger ones, we teach and we show.

Life is filled with satisfaction,

There is always, a cool distraction.

Life is beautiful, we all know,

Relax, and go with the flow,

Degree of beauty, depends on the eyes,

What do you see, when you look at the skies?

By Martin Dejnicki

Teenage Poem About Life

The following teenage poem mentions a few obstacles and situations that teenagers are regularly faced with these days in their everyday lives.

Teenage Life

Life as a teenager, may sometimes be hard,

So many obstacles, keep up your guard.

Not sure, who's your true friend,

Or whether you're following, the latest trend.

Well, here's a little bit of advice,

Be true to yourself, and always be nice.

Always stand up, for what you believe,

If there's a fight, be smarter and leave.

Life as teenager, may certainly be cool,

Share your thoughts, with others at school.

Similar minds you will definitely find,

Be yourself, generous and kind.

By Martin Dejnicki

Well, I hope you enjoyed reading these rhyming poems about life. I definitely enjoyed writing them.

I honestly believe, that each and every single one of us has a poem about life waiting to be written.

Each poem would be slightly different, since we all experience unique situations and experiences in our lives.

These experiences, help shape who we are, and the choices that we make.

My personal goal is to try to learn from my journey, live honestly and true to myself, and bring joy to those around me. And I don't think it's all that difficult to accomplish. We just need to live life with a smile on our face, and the rest will be easy:)
